What problems did the client face?
While the TOD web platform streamlined associate operations internally, SMAWINS needed a mobile solution to support associates in the field. Key issues included:
- Limited access to core platform functions on mobile devices
- Delays in updating associate information or task status from remote locations
- No centralized app for timesheet management, project tracking, or document access
- Inconsistent experience across devices due to lack of native support
What was our approach?
We extended the existing TOD platform into a cross-platform mobile app using Xamarin. The goal was to provide feature parity with the web version while optimizing for mobile usability and real-time access.
Our mobile strategy focused on:
- Designing a mobile-first UX that aligns with the desktop experience
- Enabling real-time data sync with the TOD web backend
- Minimizing redundant code by leveraging Xamarin’s shared logic across Android and iOS
- Ensuring secure access and smooth performance for associates on the go
How did we help?
We delivered a feature-rich TOD mobile app that allowed SMAWINS associates to:

- Submit timesheets and track hours
- Access documents and payroll details
- Communicate with hiring managers and receive notifications
